Kathmandu. Ratemyneta, an internet platform that claims to have been launched with the intention of evaluating the performance of leaders and holding them accountable, has recently become popular among the youth.
After browsing the site www.ratemyneta.com through a browser, users on this platform can express their opinion on the work done by the leaders, public statements and overall working style through one of two options: upvote (satisfied) and downvote (dissatisfied). Based on the votes received so far, it is seen that the common people are more dissatisfied with the top leaders of the major political parties.
As of the time of writing this report, Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has received 98 up votes and 3,300 down votes. Similarly, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has received 68 up votes and 3,300 down votes. On the other hand, CPN-Maoist Chairman Prachanda has received 414 up votes and 2,900 down votes. Most of those who received more up votes than down votes are from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the RPP (Rashtriya Prajatantra Party) and independent leaders.
